ahh...the yr 2 orientation is finally over.
day 1:
nth much. just slack, slack and slack.
pro right? We did class admin stuff, briefing for day 2 and day 3' activities, interaction session with our new form teacher and talk among ourselves. haha.
day 2:
Xplore!!! very fun. I am in 2E2. (group is E2)
It's like amazing race. We have to go from one end of singapore to the other end and back again. The tasks were fun and the clues given were creative. It was tiring but fun. We had to get back to school before 5.15 and ended up being the 21st grp. We started on a high note before the race. WE had to find the words in the newspaper to form the sentence given by the SC. I find and cut out the words until I 自high. It's so hard to find the words for the chinese sentences. The guys did the english sentence which is quite easy. Before we set off, we had to do a cheer and hit the gong. Our cheer is loud! We went to places like little india, lau pau sat, esplanade, biopolis(at buonavista), chinese garden, clarke quay, suntec and vivo. The Sfs keep telling my grp to open our eyes bigger. Apparently, we were blur at finding things. The teacher that followed us is damn pro la. One look at the clue/pic given and she knew where to find it the structure or place. About like 4 o'clock, we were running like mad when we were supposed to walk as we were afraid that there would be no more time left for us to complete the last task. At outram station, we ran to the train as the door was abt to close. The teacher did nt run fast enough and was left behind. She tried to squeeze her way through the closing doors but the doors rejected her invitation. It was so funny larh. Then we screamed, "LAO SHI!!!" I think the other commuters were shocked to see our action. Then there's hong kui. We waited for at the bus stop and flagged every bus that stops at the bus stop at suntec. But one particular bus driver did not open the bus door. Hong kui did sth really very funny. Sarah and I laughed like mad at his actions. Instead of knocking on the door to ask the driver to open the door, he tried to pull open the door. I mean, bus doors can't be opened manually right? That scene was oh so ridiculous. hahaha... That day, zhi hao became the toilet king as he kept wanting to go to the toilet every station. Rason became the food king as he ate a lot of food. He ate one after another. His stomache like a bottomless hole. ok, too exaggarative. lols.
day 3:
Sandcastle building. I finally learnt how to build a proper sandcastle. yay! The sandcastle I usually build topples down easily. I always build a mini volcano instead. Our task for that day was to create an IR hotel to attract tourists. Design, buy and sell. We are separated into four zones-red, blue, yellow, green. I'm in the blue zone (clz D,E,F). My grp did the transportation hub and the river walkway. The result was not bad but I think Sweeyee and Huang tao's look nicer as there's not much to design for a bus interchange with mrt tracks linking to every building built. Sweeyee's grp did residential areas in the shape of a heart. nice and sweet. Sweeyee said she thought of star at first,but then star was too hard to make... I like the part where we have to take the bucket and fetch water frm the sea. The cooling sensation when sea water brush past my ankles is awesome, beautiful, cool. It was high tide then. The weather was unstable, rain and shine, rain and shine...I think the people organising the event should check on the weather report before confirming the date. We even had free lunch from Macdonalds but the fries was cold. haha. Rason is quite enthu abt the thing. We used mainly his design. surprise eh? Later went home with xintian, sweeyee, sarah and siangler. Sofina, kimberly, meiyi and samantha had parent's coming to fetch. wanted to hitch a ride from samantha at first, but then decided otherwise. Cos there was xintian and sweeyee and sarah and siangler too. Fair to everyone if we all walk right? yeah, so we walked and walked to one bus-stop, waited 10 min, realised weekdays no bus. Then walked on the road beside the expressway, and took bus 31 to tanah merah. Finally reached Pasir ris where I took bus 3 home. Was surprised to find rason and clarence taking the same bus as me. That was the end of the whole day's activities and also the end of the yr 2 orientation. Lessons will start tomoro. jiayou ;)
